Our Story

​

Fatefully, Sam and Mads matched on Bumble in January 2018 while Sam was at school and Mads was home on winter break. They immediately knew this love was different from the rest. For their first date, they met in Chicago, where they ended up closing the restaurant down and walked hand-in-hand around the city for hours. Shortly after, they began officially dating, thriving at long-distance through 2020 as they both finished college.

 

During the pandemic, they finally closed the distance and added their pup, Moose, to their family. After living together in Milwaukee for a year, they eventually settled in Los Angeles in 2022.

The Proposal

 

 In 2023, to celebrate their 5-year anniversary, they planned a trip to Maui. On the second day, Mads surprised Sam with a photoshoot on Po'olenalena Beach, where she asked Sam to marry her. They celebrated the rest of the exciting week lounging on the beach and exploring the rest of Maui as an engaged couple! 

 

After 7 years together, Sam and Mads are thrilled to celebrate their marriage with close family and friends!
